Maltese Cross

Its origin dates back to times of bravery and devotion during the Crusades of the 11th century. Inspired by the symbol of the Order of Malta, an ancient organization of Christian knights, it features eight points symbolizing the eight obligations or aspirations of the knights: love, repentance, faith, humility, mercy, endurance, sincerity, and truth, as well as the different nationalities of the order’s members. This historical heritage grants the Maltese Cross not only an aesthetic meaning but also a deep connection with the tradition and legacy of the knights who inspired it.
